Canonical comany has just announced it beta release of Ubuntu 19.10. It includes all varients like Desktop and other Cloud products. Ubuntu 19.10 named as Eoan Ermine.
Final release of Eoan Ermine is on October 17. Yes, only few days to go!
Beta images are free from most bugs. Canonical says that the beta image is just as stable as the final release.
They said that the beta release includes images of Kubuntu, Lubuntu, Ubuntu Budgee, Ubuntu Kylin, Ubuntu Mate, Ubuntu Studio and Xubundu.
Each version has a desktop to suit its own needs. Lubuntu and Xubuntu are are suitable for low end computers, requires processors like atom or pentium quad core etc. Ubuntu and Kubuntu perform better on more powerful computers and desktops.
Along with the latest update, core packages may include Linux Kernel 5.3 and GNOME 3.34. You will also see a new light Yaru GTK theme. New wallpapers are also availbale in this release.
Ubuntu 19.10 is the release before Ubuntu 20.04 LTS. Ubuntu 19.10 will receive updates for just nine months upto July 2020. On Ubuntu 20.04, however, there are likely to be security updates until 2030 if Canonical decides to support it for 10 years
